‘Sunday Night Unplugged’ at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church will return this coming Sunday. November 9, with a unique program exploring Taize music, coordinated by Emrys Tyler.
The Taizé Community in France is a Christian monastic community famed for its community prayers and music. A large part of its ministry of reconciliation is participating in meditative practice, which includes praying and singing together.
Taizé music is known for its simplicity and repetition. Taizé songs, though short, are meant to be sung several times over in order to allow the Spirit to work more deeply in us as we sing.
If you would like to spend some time with us on Sunday, November 9 at 5pm, we’d love to host you in contemplation, patient prayer and song.
This Sunday Night Unplugged will be less “show” and more participation. Whether you sing complex harmonies or croak like a resonant frog, all are welcome to make a joyful noise with us at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.
