PSCDC Celebrates the Sale of Workforce Housing Units

The Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation (PSCDC) has reached a major milestone in its mission to support local workers and families, which is essential to maintaining a strong and resilient local economy. In this first phase of an ambitious workforce housing project, nine homes have been purchased by local residents, and only one home remains available.

These homes were designed to create lasting home ownership opportunities for the people who form the backbone of Pagosa Springs. This includes teachers, healthcare workers, service industry professionals, and skilled tradespeople. When local workers are able to live close to their jobs, businesses have better staffing stability, families are able to put down roots, and the broader community benefits from long-term continuity.

This approach supports the goal to Live Local, Work Local, and Thrive Local.

“This project represents what’s possible when a community comes together to invest in its people,” said Emily Lashbrooke, Executive Director of PSCDC. “We’re proud to see local workers achieving homeownership and strengthening the future of Pagosa Springs.”

The remaining home offers a unique opportunity for qualified workforce buyers to purchase in this neighborhood. PSCDC also is preparing to start Phase II, which will expand access to attainable home ownership for additional residents in late fall 2026.

PSCDC encourages interested residents to act now and sign up for updates or begin the qualification process today by visiting the PSCDC website or by contacting PSCDC directly at (970) 403-4033 for more information.
