Grace Pettis & Natalie Price Live in Durango, Oct. 29

The Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College welcomes two powerhouse singer-songwriters—Grace Pettis and Natalie Price—for an evening of fearless truth-telling, soul-stirring songs, and heartfelt connection on Wednesday, October 29, at 7:30 p.m. Presented as part of the Backstage Pass Concert Series, this special performance places the audience right on stage with the artists for a truly up-close and unforgettable experience.

Grace Pettis is a Nashville-based troubadour whose voice and pen cut straight to the soul. Winner of NPR’s Mountain Stage NewSong Contest and a regular at SXSW and Folk Alliance International, Pettis is known for her fearless honesty and genre-bending blend of folk, Americana, and soul. Her 2024 album Down to the Letter — produced by Mary Bragg and featuring co-writes with Grammy-nominated artists — chronicles transformation with poetic precision and emotional fire. Whether fronting an all-female band or standing solo with guitar in hand, Pettis commands the stage with unflinching authenticity.

Natalie Price brings a genre-defying sound she lovingly calls “Ameri-kinda” — a bold mix of Americana, indie-folk, and pop that’s as emotionally raw as it is melodically rich. Raised in Fort Worth and now thriving in Austin’s vibrant music scene, she’s quickly become one of the city’s most talked-about new voices. Her self-titled debut album showcases confessional songwriting and inventive instrumentation, including the standout track “The Island,” written on kalimba. With influences ranging from First Aid Kit to David Ramirez, Price’s performances are intimate, playful, and brimming with humanity.

Together, Pettis and Price offer an evening that feels less like a concert and more like a gathering of friends sharing songs and stories. In the Backstage Pass Concert setting, that connection deepens — giving audiences the rare chance to experience two exceptional artists up close, personal, and at their most inspiring.
