The upcoming Archuleta Health Fair & Expo will be held Saturday, October 4, at Pagosa Springs High School. This will be the third consecutive year for the Health Fair to be offered to the community.
The event has proven to be a very important part of helping our community stay focused on their healthcare needs and the overall health of their families.
A number of healthcare organizations will return this year and will be providing essential screening services. Some of the services to be offered will include hearing screenings, oral health screenings, breast cancer screening, labs, and vaccinations for flu and other needs. Additionally, health-related information booths, health care organizations, food vendors, wellness vendors, and community-based organizations will be available for attendees to connect with throughout the morning. Take advantage of the free screenings, low-cost lab work, the vaccination clinic, and access to several healthcare providers that can help guide you through healthcare programs that will suit your medical and wellness needs.
Healthy Archuleta recognizes that not everyone has the time to address their own healthcare needs due to their commitments and responsibilities. The Archuleta Health Fair & Expo aims to create an event that provides the community with the opportunity to take a more invested role in its own healthcare. It is important that we take time to take care of our own health and wellness, so that we are able to help our families, friends, and neighbors when they may need support. Attending events such as the health fair brings attention to the importance of focusing on personal wellness and staying connected with our local healthcare system.
Registration is now open at this webiste, and we encourage you to register today. If you plan to sign up for lab work, check the schedule for labs, which will be held from 7 am to 10 am, and sign up for the time that works best for you.
There will be a delicious farm-to-table lunch again this year, prepared with locally sourced meats and produce. So make sure you sign up for lunch when you complete your registration. Last year, there were over 320 registrants for the health fair, so we encourage you to register early.
