Summer in Pagosa Springs has been anything but sleepy. At Thingamajig Theatre, the stage has pulsed with irreverence, glamour, and a gleeful sense of theatrical mischief. Now, with just two weeks remaining, the repertory season barrels toward its final bow on August 30, leaving audiences one last chance to revel in three productions that have defined the summer.
Something Rotten! has played like a backstage vaudeville fever dream, with Nostradamus’s visions teetering somewhere between divine prophecy and comic delirium. The Wild Party has unleashed its bruising jazz-age rhythms with the force of a brass band careening down a narrow alley, while A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder has served up charm and homicide in equal measure, its devilish wit slicing through the summer air.
This has been a season not merely of shows but of gratitude. Volunteers, patrons, and community supporters have been the quiet chorus behind the curtain, sustaining the theatre’s artistry with their presence and generosity.
