Self-Guided Pagosa Springs Artist Studio Tour Set for August 22-24

The artists of Pagosa Springs are proud to announce the return of the open studio tour, a unique and immersive experience for art lovers and those that are curious about the process used by creatives.

Art has played a major role throughout history. From cave paintings that were rendered thousands of years ago to today’s digital apps, humans use art to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences. Creating art is way to stay connected, whether that connection is with each other, the earth, history or culture.

For one weekend only — Friday, August 22, through Sunday, August 24 — local artists will open their studio doors to the public, offering a rare chance to step inside the spaces where creativity happens.

This self-guided tour features 30 artists across 24 locations in and around Pagosa Springs, showcasing an impressive variety of mediums: painting, sculpture, ceramics, fiber art, jewelry, custom woodwork and more.

New this year, there will be a preview reception on Thursday, August 21, from 6 to 8pm at The Springs Resort. Attendees can meet participating artists, view a curated sample of their work, enjoy live music and plan their tour experience. The reception and the tour are both free and open to the public.
