As August rolls in and school supplies start reappearing on store shelves, we’re looking ahead to the final weeks of Thingamajig Theatre Company’s 2025 Summer Season. With just a few performances left, we want to take a moment to say thank you…
…to our audiences, our artists, our volunteers, and our community for another unforgettable summer at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.
This year’s repertory lineup brought three wildly different stories to life, and we’ve loved seeing audiences return again and again to experience them all.
Something Rotten! closes out the season on August 30. This fast-paced musical comedy dives into the world of two playwright brothers trying to outdo Shakespeare by inventing an entirely new form of theatre—something called “a musical.” Packed with big laughs, over-the-top dance numbers, and a lot of heart, it’s been a hit with audiences of all ages.
The Wild Party wraps up a week earlier on August 23. Set in the roaring twenties and told almost entirely through song, this dark and dazzling musical follows a group of showbiz outsiders whose night of revelry spirals into something deeper and more dangerous. It’s our most daring show of the season, and one that’s sparked some great post-show conversations.
A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder continues through August 29. This witty British comedy tells the story of Monty Navarro, a charming underdog who discovers he’s ninth in line to inherit a fortune… and starts knocking off the relatives ahead of him. With quick changes, big characters, and a lot of laughs, it’s been a standout favorite among the cast and audience alike.
As we head into these final weeks, we invite you to catch one (or more!) of the shows before they’re gone for good. Repertory theatre is fleeting by design. Each performance is unique, and once the season ends, you won’t see this cast on these sets again. And while the summer season may be wrapping up, we’re already getting ready to announce our 2025–2026 Fall/Winter lineup. From holiday shows to intimate dramas, there’s a lot on the horizon. We can’t wait to share it with you.
For tickets, schedules, and updates, visit pagosacenter.org or stop by the box office. And from all of us at Thingamajig: thank you for making live theatre a part of your summer.
