The summer is flying by, and fall is right around the corner. The Chamber just announced tickets available for the NEW Grillin’ and Distillin’ event on August 23, and we’re now pleased to announce that tickets are available for ColorFest Passport to Pagosa and Bands and Brews to be held September 19 & 20 respectively.
This year’s events will be in a new venue – Yamaguchi Park. We’re excited about added park amenities and more parking! The Chamber is excited to receive commitments already from several great restaurants and food trucks.
New to Pagosa? Here is what these events are about.
Passport to Pagosa kicks off ColorFest weekend on Friday, September 19 at 6pm. It highlights Pagosa’s great food establishments including restaurants, food trucks, specialty foods and caterers. Pair this fine food with delicious wines and outstanding live music and you have a magical evening.
This year’s entertainment will see the return of Maxwell Miller and his amazing voice and musical talent. All participants will have seating, a VIP gift, and a collectable wine glass. Tables of 8 can be reserved. At Passport, restaurants also vie for category awards as well as the coveted People’s Choice award. We hope to see last year’s winner of the People’s Choice award, Sage, returning to try and add more awards to the outside of their food truck!
Tickets are $100 and may be purchased from the Chamber’s website, www.pagosachamber.com. This is a 21+ event.
The Bands & Brews event returns this year with hopefully better weather! While we did have a downpour last year, the event still took place. However, with the new venue, we are hoping for clear skies so attendees can spread out and enjoy the beautiful mountain backdrop seen from Yamaguchi Park. This event takes place on Saturday, September 20 beginning at 4pm.
Bands & Brews celebrates craft brews from around the state and region. There will also be wine by the glass for sale if you are not a beer-drinking person. Food trucks serving delicious food, snow cones and sweets are also at the event as are vendors such as henna and face painting for the children. You can purchase a beer-tasting ticket for $35 which includes admission to the event and a chance to vote for the People’s Choice award. For those that are designated drivers or do not drink beer, general admission tickets are available for $10. The ticket price also allows you to enjoy live music throughout the afternoon. A balloon glow will also take place, weather permitting, at approximately 7:00pm. Tickets for this event can be purchased through the Chamber website at www.pagosachamber.com.
Additional activities over the ColorFest weekend include the Hot Air Balloon Mass Ascension from the downtown area on Saturday morning, September 20 and the launch from the west side of town on Sunday morning, September 21. Aspen House will also conduct their annual ColorRun/Walk on Saturday morning, September 20 from Yamaguchi Park.
Please remember that all balloon-related activities are weather contingent
.
