The Archuleta County Sheriff has announced that no fire restrictions will be in place on July 4th.
From the Town of Pagosa Springs website:
Due to ongoing road construction on U.S. 160, Town Council has decided to forgo the traditional 4th of July Parade this year.
But don’t despair, there are a lot of events and activities to Celebrate the 4th of July in Pagosa!
Join us at Yamaguchi Park for a fun-filled day of celebration with:
- Stars & Stripes Stroll @ 3pm a walking parade to honor our veterans and first responders (free)
- Live Music to keep the good vibes going all day long (free)
- Beer Garden for the 21+ crowd to kick back and enjoy local brews (not free)
- The Adventure Zone ~ bouncy house fun July 2-6 with 10 to 12 assorted inflatable rides that include slides, bounce houses, obstacle courses, etc. both wet and dry (pricing is $25 per hour or $30 for an all-day pass)
- And of course… FIREWORKS at dark – about 9pm give or take 10-15 minutes
Bring your friends, bring your family, and get ready to celebrate Independence Day in the best way possible — with music, laughter, and a sky full of fireworks!
Make sure to arrive early to find parking and pick your viewing location. Public parking will be available at the Town Hall, Yamaguchi Park, and the high school. Parking restrictions will prohibit parking along the town roads.
Don’t wait till the 4th to celebrate, there are events and activities throughout town all week:
- Park to Park Artisan and Food Market @ Town Park and the Athletic Field July 3-5: 10am – 5pm and July 6th: 10am – 4pm
- Red Ryder Roundup @ Archuleta County Fairgrounds July 3rd @ 6pm, July 4th @ 2pm, and July 5th @ 6pm
- Freedom Float @ 1pm July 4th ~ a float on your own event! Grab a tube, don your best red, white, and blue and join the Freedom Float on the San Juan River through downtown
The Town is currently in negotiations to allow parking in the large parking lot adjacent to the Old County Courthouse.
