The summer repertory season at the Pagosa Spring Center for the Arts is officially in full swing. Three big musicals, one hard-working cast, and a schedule packed with everything from Elizabethan puns to Prohibition-era drama to aristocratic body counts. All three Thingamajig Theatre shows are now open and running in rotation at the Center.
Here’s what’s onstage:
Something Rotten!
A fast-paced musical comedy where Shakespeare is a rock star and two struggling playwrights invent the musical — accidentally. Expect big numbers, bigger egos, and enough wordplay to keep the English majors happy.
The Wild Party
Jazz, gin, and dangerous chemistry collide in this darkly glamorous musical set in the late 1920s. It’s a party you’ll be glad you only have to attend from the audience.
A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder
A charming nobody discovers he’s ninth in line to a fortune — and decides to speed things up. One actor plays all eight doomed relatives. The jokes land as quickly as the bodies.
All three are running in rep now through August 30, with performances rotating throughout the week. Please Note: The Center and box office will be closed Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. No performances will be held that day. Regular shows resume Saturday, July 5.

Three shows. One cast. Plenty of chances to get in on the action!
Also underway: the kids’ summer theatre camp is in session, working toward a lively production of James and the Giant Peach JR. Performances are scheduled for July 12–13, starring our youngest cast members and directed by the future of theatre itself.
