19th Hole Concerts Continue This Thursday

The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado, in partnership with the Pagosa Springs Golf Club, is sponsoring four 19th Hole Concerts, continuing this Thursday, June 19. Last week’s concert had an attendance of 244 people.

The featured artist this week is Bo DePeña — Americana and country, and the organization is Build Pagosa.

Build Pagosa supports job ready skills taught to high school students through Career & Tech Ed (CTE) programs, and will soon build a Regional Workforce Center to add adult opportunities in the skilled trades, ensuring a labor force that meets workplace demands for the foreseeable future. We are here to help generations break away from the cycle of low-paying hourly jobs, and towards prosperity. Through private-public partnerships our non-profit provides financial support and workforce training.

Food from Square Top BBQ, beer, wine will be available for purchase. No outside food, drink or pets will be allowed. Concertgoers should bring a camping chair or blanket — or both — to take full advantage of a summer evening in the Rocky Mountains.

The 19th Hole Concerts are held every Thursday in June from 5:30-7:30pm, at the Pagosa Springs Golf Club. The cover charge is a $10 donation which supports the four nonprofits selected through the month of June. Corporate sponsors cover event expenses, allowing all proceeds at the end of the series to be pooled and distributed equally to the featured organizations. The collaborative approach to the concerts is vital to their success.

We want to thank our sponsors, along with the Pagosa Springs Golf Club, Square Top BB, Bank of Colorado, Inter-Mountain Propane, the Pagosa Springs Sun, and Jan C. Pitcher Real Estate.
