As a liberal religious voice, the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship invites those with curious minds and open hearts to join us any Sunday as we envision and practice beloved community. Join us in-person at our services at 10:30am. Sunday worship is held on the first and third Sundays of the month. The second Sunday is a sharing circle we named Going Deeper, where we explore through deep listening. Action Sunday! is held on the fourth Sunday of each month and is dedicated to explore justice-making and action.
We are located at Unit B-15 of the Greenbriar Plaza, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd. on the north side facing the Pagosa Peak. We offer Zoom streaming of our service, and a link to join online can be found at PagosaUU.org, where you will find our current newsletter with information about our programs.
Pagosa UU Fellowship is a Welcoming Congregation; we believe that all of who you are is sacred, and all of who you are is welcome. Find out more at https://www.uua.org/lgbtq.

Living into Human and Planetary Possibilities Through Relationship and Community
Heidi Steltzer, PhD

Dr. Steltzer states, “I often wonder about the impossible being possible. About loving all that differentiates person from person from person. And what becomes possible when difference is an asset rather than a problem to be solved or feared. We are a relational species. And through relationship, we can live into wholeness, wildness, and possibility.”
Join us as Heidi Steltzer, an Earth scientist who took a leap of faith into theological studies at the Iliff School of Theology in the fall of 2023, shares her understanding of the exploration of what we can know about the Earth and ourselves through relationship and what becomes possible when we do. Dr. Steltzer earned her bachelor of science in biology at Duke University. Her doctorate is in ecosystem ecology from University of Colorado at Boulder, and soon a master’s in theological studies from the Iliff School of Theology.

Pilgrimage: A Journey to a Sacred Place for a Holy Reason
Julie Loar
People from every culture have taken spiritual pilgrimages for thousands of years, journeying to sacred sites to experience rapture, guidance, or to find meaning and purpose. I believe that pilgrims seek the heart of the sacred, longing to touch transcendence, to feel the heat of cosmic fire, or glimpse the cloak of mystery. As we come into the season of travel, come explore with us as we ponder the difference between a sacred journey and vacation?
Julie Loar will explore how we might travel more consciously and deeply, returning with widened horizons and a more open heart. Loar is the highly-awarded author of eight books and more than a hundred articles. She has served on the board of the Pagosa UU Fellowship. We welcome Julie back in our midst, knowing her ability to engage and inspire us!
