As part of the America 250 – Colorado 150 commemoration, the state is excited to announce the launch of its digital passport program, a signature initiative designed to encourage both locals and visitors to explore Colorado’s hidden gems, diverse businesses and rich heritage. The program, accessible via Colorado.com and the MyColorado app, is set to be introduced in the summer of 2025 with a full rollout in 2026, providing an interactive, engaging experience for participants.
The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO), a division of the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), is proud to partner with the America 250 – Colorado 150 Commission to create the digital passport. The CTO’s support helps facilitate statewide engagement in this inspiring opportunity for our state, strengthening connections across communities and promoting tourism throughout Colorado.
The passport program will span all 64 counties, ensuring that every corner of Colorado is represented. In addition to local businesses, participants can explore the state’s unique attractions, parks and cultural landmarks. As users interact with the passport and complete challenges, they will be rewarded with points, discounts and special offers, making every journey more memorable.

“I’m thrilled to collaborate with the America 250 – Colorado 150 Commission on the digital passport initiative to celebrate our state’s 150th and America’s 250th anniversaries,” shared Tim Wolfe, Commission Co-Chair and Director of the Colorado Tourism Office. “This program provides a remarkable opportunity for Coloradans and visitors to engage with our state’s history and support local businesses. Whether dining out, visiting a national park or viewing a local museum exhibition, this program offers something for everyone to participate in meaningfully.”
United Airlines will be the primary sponsor and is providing funding to support the passport, which will allow users to check in at participating businesses and attractions to earn rewards, badges and exclusive offers. United’s support comes as part of its long-standing commitment to connecting communities and fostering tourism in the state. United serves nine destinations in the state and plays a key role in bringing visitors to experience all it has to offer.
“United Airlines is proud to support Colorado’s digital passport in celebration of our state’s upcoming landmark anniversary,” said BJ Youngerman, Managing Director of Global Market Strategy and Community Impact for United Airlines. “For nearly 100 years, United has been connecting people to the moments that matter most, and since 1937, United has provided air service in Colorado. Today, we’re the largest and most-flown airline in our state, and our more than 10,000 Colorado-based United employees welcome thousands of travelers coming in and out every day. We are thrilled to join the Commission in this initiative and celebrate our state’s historic anniversary together.”
“We’re grateful to United Airlines for their generous contribution, which will help drive tourism and create economic opportunities across the state,” added Wolfe.
The digital passport program represents just one of the 12 signature initiatives created by the America 250 – Colorado 150 Commission to commemorate 150 years of Colorado statehood and 250 years of American independence. The program aligns with the Commission’s goal of inspiring connection, fostering community pride and celebrating the vibrant cultures that define our state.

About the America 250 – Colorado 150 Commemoration
The America 250 – Colorado 150 Commission is leading Colorado’s commemoration of 150 years of statehood and 250 years of American independence in 2026. Established by Governor Jared Polis and the Colorado General Assembly, the Commission brings together leaders from across the state to guide this historic milestone. Through its campaign, “The View From Here,” the Commission invites all Coloradans to reflect on our shared history and imagine the future, recognizing Colorado’s unique legacy as the only state founded on the nation’s 100th birthday in 1876. Working alongside state agencies, regional Advisory Panels and local communities, the Commission will showcase signature initiatives, educational programs, exhibits and community-led events to inspire engagement statewide.
