This month we honor Earth Day, and this Sunday, April 20, the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist (UU) Fellowship will hold a service entitled, Reimagining Together: Listen, Because Kindness Eases Change. Joan Ward will serve as service leader while Dave Pettis and Susan Kuhns will offer special music. We invite all to join us for this timely offering as we honor Mother Earth in all her glory this season.
The resources for this service are from the Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Earth (UUMFE.org), a part of the UU Association that focuses on spiritual grounding and education for earth care and climate justice. This work can often feel overwhelming. Where do we start? We may be quick to act without listening to each other and the communities most impacted by climate disruption. Come to be inspired to put love at the center, and to make friends, do good and grow your spirit.
Also this Sunday, is our weekly meditation practice beginning at 9:00 am. The first and third Sundays holds a shorter practice. The second and forth Sundays is practice including a Dharma talk. We welcome all who want to explore this Buddhist practice or deepen their regular meditation.
Our offerings include Sunday programming each week at 10:30 AM; two worship-type services the 1st and 3rd Sundays, a small group sharing circle (2nd Sundays), and Action Sunday! (4th Sundays) All these offerings are listed on the current newsletter, which is available online at PagosaUU.org. The Fellowship is located at Unit B-15 of the Greenbriar Plaza, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd. on the north side facing the Pagosa Peak. We also offer Zoom services the first and third Sundays of the month.
As a Welcoming Congregation we work towards inclusivity and justice for all.
