PHOTO ESSAY: The 2025 WinterFest Bonfire

The Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce kicked off the 2025 WinterFest celebration amid cold temps, clear skies, and not much snow.

The annual WinterFest started off with the Friday night Bonfire at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds. Christmas trees gave the fuel and the crowd grew to an outright party, a celebration of the season.

The Pagosa Fire Protection District lit the fire and kept things safe. Their skill and professional attention to the entire scene is most appreciated.

The Stage was set… the sound was great… and the band “Wonder Bread” performed throughout the evening. Hot libations and two local food trucks kept lines going to the very end.

I met a family on vacation from Costa Rica. Families, newlyweds, locals, balloon pilots and visitors enjoyed another memorable event in Pagosa.

Thanks to Chamber staff… Mary Jo Coulehan, Anna Deering, Ava Carter… the Chamber Board, volunteers and sponsors… for another great event.
