Road Construction on North Pagosa to Begin May 3

The much-anticipated milling and repaving at the intersection of North Pagosa Boulevard, Highway 160, Bastille, and Navajo Trail, will begin this Friday evening, May 3.

The repave project done by Four Corners Materials, will include North Pagosa from Highway 160 to Bastille, and Navajo Trail to the Cowboy Carwash. Businesses most affected include the Speedway and Marathon gas stations, the Buck Stops Here Market & Eatery, the Cowboy Carwash, and the Fire Department Administration building. Traffic will be pushed to alternate entrances where possible.

Archuleta County along with Four Corners Materials, will begin work Friday at 7pm until 6am, continuing at 7pm on Saturday night. Road closures and delays can be expected.

Road crews will direct traffic as well as ensure proper safety measures and protocols are taking place during this nighttime work.

The privately owned Country Center Drive, and Town of Pagosa Springs-owned Village Drive, will have travel impacts due to lane closures.

Project completion is expected before the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

This is a budgeted Archuleta County project. The County wishes to thank residents for their patience during this necessary construction.
