Ruby Sisson Library staff hosted an afternoon tea in the library’s garden on April 19 to thank its volunteers in honor of National Volunteer Week.
Library volunteers help with many important tasks including shelving, program preparation, garden maintenance and more. In 2023 they contributed 1,845 hours valued at $63,394, a remarkable amount of money, especially for a small library like ours.
Such impressive community support is important not only for good service to patrons and visitors but also when the library applies for grants.
