Fire Mitigation, Homeowners’ Insurance the Topic for Upcoming Democratic Club Meeting

Fire mitigation and homeowners’ insurance will be the topic of the next Democratic Club meeting which will be held next Thursday, March 14 at 11:30am at Coyote Moon. Bill Trimarco from Wildfire Adapted Partnership plans to cover the historical forest and fire regimes in Archuleta County, the present conditions, measures that people can take to protect lives and property, what assistance is available, tax incentives and evacuation preparedness.

Lisa Jensen of Woolverton Insurance will explain some of the problems that homeowners have been having in securing insurance. There will be time to ask general questions.

Please plan to come at 11:30am to order lunch. The presentation will begin at 12:00. The Democratic Club is a social organization that seeks to sponsor programs about topics of local interest. Everyone is welcome. Do not feel that you need to be a registered Democrat to attend.
