Pagosa Public Invited to Water Resources Presentation Hosted by Democratic Club

By Lynn R. Frederick

Josh Kurz will speak at the next Archuleta County Democratic Club meeting. He is a Pagosa Springs High School science teacher who has a BS degree in Watershed Science from Colorado State University and has worked as a hydrologist before teaching.

Mr. Kurz has developed an info graphic which he will use to help inform attendees about local water resources.

Water resources on the Western Slope are in a precarious situation so this is a program you will not want to miss.

The Club meeting will be held at Beny’s Restaurant,180 E. Pagosa St., at 11:30am on Monday, February 19, with Josh Kurz speaking at 12:00.

The Democratic Club is a social organization that seeks to sponsor programs about topics of local interest. Everyone is welcome. Do not feel that you need to be a registered Democrat to attend.

As a courtesy to the restaurant, please RSVP by email to lynnfrederick1@gmail.com by February 18 and plan to order lunch during the meeting.

Lynn R. Frederick writes for the Archuleta County Democratic Club.
