County Road & Bridge Crews Wrestling with Winter-Spring Weather Conditions

Due to an unusual winter, and warmer than average early spring temperatures, several roads around the County are not in an ideal state.

Please be patient with County Road & Bridge (R&B) staff as they work to treat both paved and dirt roadways to the best of their ability, given the current circumstances.

Cold patching potholes on paved roads is being done throughout the County, however, is a temporary fix which cannot be relied on long-term. Due to the amount of mud and slush currently on roadways, grading will only worsen the problem.

Once the weather cooperates and the roads begin to fully dry out, grading will begin.

Road & Bridge is looking to have a very productive summer season and is currently working on equipment to do so. Road maintenance and repair is scheduled to include North Pagosa and Light Plants roads.

In the meantime, R&B is aware, they do care, and ask for patience from residents while they evaluate roads and solutions to their conditions.
