Pagosa Parents of Young Children Asked to Participate in Survey

To help us better understand the need for childcare and early childhood education in Pagosa Springs, the Early Childhood Council of Archuleta County (ECCAC) is asking parents of children ages 0-6 to participate in an online survey, linked here.

The survey includes 14 questions, plus a space to add additional comments… and a choice to include your email address, if you want to be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift card.

We intend to include the broader Archuleta population as survey participants.

ECCAC working to understand many challenges surrounding early care and education in Archuleta County. Surveys completed by the March 3 deadline will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift card; 4 cards will be given away.

Please share this invitation through social media and with any parents and guardians you know.

ECCAC’s mission is to foster and sustain a comprehensive, high-quality, and accessible early childhood system that supports families and the community in order to prepare children for academic and personal success in life.

According to the Harvard University Center on the Developing Child:

“Science tells us that early childhood is a time of both great promise and considerable risk. Having responsive relationships with adults, growth-promoting experiences, and healthy environments for all young children helps build sturdy brain architecture and the foundations of resilience.

“Meanwhile, significant disadvantages can disrupt the developmental process and lead to limited economic and social mobility that threatens the vitality, productivity, and sustainability of society…”
