CDOT to Perform Highway Repairs East of Bayfield

Beginning January 2, the Colorado Department of Transportation will perform month-long erosion control operations on a four mile segment of US Highway 160, just east of Bayfield.

Operations will take place Monday and Friday between Mile Points 105 and 109. Motorists should plan for 10-15 minute delays, flaggers and one-lane alternating traffic between 9am and 3pm each day.

Crews will work swiftly to stabilize the shoulder of the highway however, work is weather permitting.

Traffic Impacts
Daytime work hours range from 9am to 3pm, January 2 – February 2, 2024.
Motorists can expect full stops and up to 15-minute delays and should allow for extra travel time.
Vehicles will be guided by signs and flagging personnel.
A speed reduction of 40 mph will be enforced through the work zones.
