Wolf Creek Ski Area to Open Two Trails on Nov. 11

Wolf Creek Ski Area is excited to kick off the 2023-2024 ski season Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12.

The Nova beginner chairlift will be open next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 11 and 12 from 9:00am to 4:00pm.  Nova and Susan’s trails will be available to skiers and snowboarders.  The Magic Carpet will also be open for children in the Wolf Pup and Wolf Riders Program.  

The Ski School, Ski & Snowboard Rental, Treasure Sports, Base Camp, Pathfinder Bar and the Upper Lodge, which will serve a full lunch menu, will all be open.

To start the new season off, lift tickets will be at the Beginner Lift rates of $44.00 for all ages.

Wolf Creek will close Monday, November 13 through Thursday, November 16; but reopen for 7-day a week operations on Friday, November 17.

Details for 7-day a week operations will be announced closer to the reopening date.

Ten inches of snow fell October 28 and 29, establishing an all-natural settled base of 6 inches at the midway with supplementalsnowmaking operations on Nova and Susan’s trails.

The Wolf Creek Ski School will be hosting a hiring clinic and interviews this weekend, Saturday, November 4th and Sunday, November 5th starting at 9:00 AM. Prospective employees will meet at the Lynx Learning Center, bring gear, lunch and plan to be on the mountain, ready to ski and ride both days! Part-time, holiday and full-time positions are available in the ski, snowboard and Wolf Pup departments.

Wolf Creek is gearing up for the upcoming season and is taking applications for all departments: lifts, ski school, food and beverage, base operations, retail, ticket office and more.  Please check out the Employment Page to download an application.
