New Teen Pregnancy ‘Crash Course’ Offered at San Juan Regional Medical Center

San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Childbirth Center is proud to be a resource for expecting mothers as they prepare for the arrival of their new baby. We know that each situation is unique, and tailor our childbirth classes to address specific needs. We are pleased to announce a new Teen Pregnancy Crash Course to address the unique challenges faced by pregnant teens.

This one-day crash course will cover the basics of what to know about having a baby as a teen parent. We will cover prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, breastfeeding, newborn care and having a positive future.

The class is being offered on Saturday, October 28, from 9:30am to 4:30pm in our Childbirth Center Classroom on the fifth floor of the hospital. Register online here..

Our teen pregnancy courses are offered multiple times a year in a variety of formats to help teens get the information they need. These courses can be taken at any point in a teen’s pregnancy. To find out more, contact Childbirth Educator Kathy Coleman at 505-609-6189 or kcoleman@sjrmc.net.

In addition, we are offering many other childbirth classes in October. We invite you to check out our entire lineup of classes, FREE to our expecting parents as a community benefit. Visit us online, here.
