Dominium Empowers Education with $1.4 Million in Scholarships

By Miles Plueger

Dominium, a leading affordable housing owner, developer, and manager, proudly announces the recipients of the 2023 Opportunity’s Front Door Scholarship Program. This initiative reflects Dominium’s unwavering dedication to empowering individuals through education, bridging the divide between potential and opportunity.

The Opportunity’s Front Door Scholarship Program is committed to providing essential financial support to Dominium residents, employees, and their dependents, aiming to facilitate access to higher education.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, 284 students will receive scholarships of $5,000 each, totaling $1.4 million.

These scholarships are accessible to individuals enrolled in two-year or four-year colleges, vocational schools, or certificate programs. The program is designed to uplift a diverse range of scholars, including first-generation students, nontraditional students, and single parents, exemplifying Dominium’s commitment to creating pathways for individuals to unlock their potential through education.

Since the launch in 2020, the Opportunity’s Front Door Program has been instrumental in bridging the gap between potential and opportunity for a total of 871 scholars.

In 2023, the Opportunity’s Front Door Scholarship positively impacted the lives of 13 individuals from Colorado, dispersed across several Dominium communities. Many of the scholarship recipients share thank you-messages, underscoring how these scholarships have transformed their lives.

Among them is Justine, from Denver, Colorado, a dedicated mother diligently pursuing her bachelor’s degree while raising her son. She expresses, “Thank you for believing in me and what I can achieve. This scholarship will help ease my worries about finances as I finish my bachelor’s degree as I raise my son.”

Similarly, Jorge, a resident from Greeley Colorado, candidly shares, “I was struggling to find a way to pay for my upcoming semesters. My financial aid had reached its lifetime limit, I was very worried that I would not be able to continue my studies, so thank you for helping me continue with my life’s goals.”

This provides just a glimpse into the journeys empowered by our scholarship program and underscores the profound influence of investing in our residents, employees, and their dependents. Dominium remains dedicated to creating education opportunities and breaking barriers for individuals nationwide.

Congratulations to the distinguished recipients of Dominium’s 2023 Opportunity’s Front Door Scholarship.
