New Habitat Houses Ready for Volunteer Help

You may have heard the cheers last week when the crane arrived and got to work setting all three new Habitat for Humanity homes on their foundations. Our team and volunteers put in some long hours over three days, and now all three homes are set on their foundations, and our crew is completing the “stitching” of the modules.

We are expecting the ‘set & stitch’ inspection tomorrow, Wednesday, August 2.

This Wednesday through Saturday we will complete roofing and siding on two of the garages and hopefully start excavation for the third garage pad. After the set and stitch inspection we’ll be able to finish siding the homes and start interior finish work.

Our three families (especially the kiddos) are very excited to see their homes (literally) coming together.

We’ll keep you updated on our progress and the volunteer help we need. We appreciate all you do for Habitat!

Our work days are from 8am – 2:30pm, Tuesdays – Saturdays at:

  • 403 Sam Houston Avenue
  • 439 Sam Houston Avenue
  • 77 Ranger Park Drive
