Tickets Still Available for Chamber Annual Meeting Feb. 8

There are still a couple of days left to purchase your tickets in advance for the Chamber’s Annual Meeting which includes a “Community Conversation” component and the Community Award reception and celebration.

The event will be held at the PLPOA Clubhouse and begins at 4pm. The agenda for the community conversation includes representatives from Archuleta County, the Town of Pagosa Springs and the Community Development Corporation. Derek Woodman, county administrator will be there to give new information on the County’s Short Term Rental task force and potential guidelines. James Dickhoff, Community Development Director for the Town of Pagosa Springs will be on hand to discuss upcoming downtown plans such as the Rumbaugh Creek bridge restoration, public arts program, 1st Street Bridge and more.

Kat McFadden, Main St. Coordinator and CDC administrator will be at the conversation to speak about the new Main Street designation and program for Pagosa Springs. All these topics concern our business community. How do these programs or enhancements affect your business and our community as a whole? It is important that our community hear from the sources about new programs and guidelines and be in an environment to learn and ask questions.

The Community Conversation part of the Annual Meeting will last until about 5:30pm.

Following the Community Conversation, we will roll into the Community Awards where we will honor the Non-Profit, Small Business, Volunteer and Citizen of the Year for 2022. All the nominees are really winners! This means that people in this community value the work and participation of our businesses, nonprofits, and individuals working to grow and enhance this community’s way of life. There will be delicious hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, networking and of course the awards.

Tickets are only $25 for a late afternoon and evening of knowledge and celebrations. Tickets can be purchased online at www.pagosachamber.com on the home page under “More in the News”. Tickets are also available at the door. This event is open to all, not just Chamber members. The topics presented are timely and important to our community at large.

Come out and be informed and be present to thank those who do so much for our community.
