WinterFest in Pagosa Springs would not be complete without a sledding event.
This year we had no shortage of snow… and the creativity in sled design was just great.
Fun was the key, the children who put plenty of effort into making it down the the hill, clearly made it a load of laughs.
A big crowd of spectators cheered on the two age divisions.
Herbie The Love Bug, Cabbage Patch Kids, Star Wars, Spider Man and other themes made the “Sledz on Rez” a real spectacle of speed and crazy crashes. Some burst into pieces, balloons puffed in the air and some veered out of control.
The youngest of the group made it all the way down with the most amazing big blue eyes.
Local celebrity judges made picked the winners.
The event was sponsored by Build Pagosa and many volunteers to make the course and keep things safe.
Every participant received a nice swag bag from various businesses.
