‘Healthy Archuleta’ Seeking Community’s Financial Support

Healthy Archuleta, the host organization for the FSFE-Food Coalition, is working to advance nutrition security and health equity in our community. We need your financial support to continue to work alongside the community to respond to the pressing challenges and work toward sustainable solutions.

A generous anonymous donor has come forward with an amazing opportunity to match every dollar we raise, up to $10,000.

We invite you to CLICK HERE to go to our donation page and consider donating today to help us reach this goal and support our ongoing efforts.

Healthy Archuleta works to support nutrition security and health equity in the community by:

  • Increasing access to food among the six food pantries in Archuleta County through the Food Distribution Center (FDC).
  • Purchasing fresh local food from our farmers and ranchers to bring health within the reach of our neighbors who rely on food pantries.
  • Mobilizing and supporting our local growers to share their extra backyard produce with our neighbors who use the food pantries.
  • Partnering with our local health care providers, community members and organizations to advance access to preventive and primary health care services for all residents in Archuleta County.
  • Working closely with community gardens, farmers, grow dome owners, and backyard growers to advance local food production.
  • Engaging youth in learning about the local food system through partnerships with the schools.
  • Facilitating community learning opportunities through the regional county-wide food summit, information sessions, assessment and reflection activities, food demonstrations, and garden education.
  • Bringing together diverse groups of people to celebrate food and culture in building a stronger and more vibrant community.
  • And much more!

Please help us to continue this important work.

And remember, every dollar you give during this campaign will double in value to support nutrition security and community wellness right here in Archuleta County. Please do whatever you can to support OUR community in partnership with Healthy Archuleta.

Our thanks in this season of giving,

HA Board Members: Lisa Scott, Valarie Groves, Josh Sanchez, Annika Jones, Leighton Mekeal
