Pagosa Farmers Market Plans to Continue Through October 1

By De Anna Hoyle

The live Pagosa Farmers Market has been running since June, and if you have yet to experience the earth’s bounty, you have two Saturdays left this season to do so.

We have added Saturday, October 1, which will be the final day this year. We thank all our vendors who have shared with us this season, and hope the community will support those vendors who will continue to sell throughout the fall and winter months, online at the Pagosa Farmers Market website.

This Saturday
Long-time Pagosa resident, Kristen Roth, will offer her plant-based, cooked and raw dip recipes. On the menu this Saturday, September 24 are the following tastings:

  • Avocado-Cilantro Dip
  • Rosemary-White Bean Dip
  • Baba Ganoush
  • Spiced Date Walnut Dip with Vanilla-Cardamom Cashew Cream, all served with crudités and oil free seeded crackers

This food demonstration will be an exploration of whole foods and Kristen’s goal of eating and living sustainably.

Kristen says when making food and lifestyle choices she puts the earth’s well-being first. Supporting good stewardship practices in agriculture and ranching, while being mindful of her family’s personal consumption, creates a positive foundation for practicing her values. Kristen and her family also donate produce to the local food pantry and community lunch, Loaves and Fishes.

Kristen’s plan includes continued learning through online, whole foods and plant-based health and nutrition programs, and sharing the knowledge with others. Pagosa Springs is blessed to have Kristen Roth, and says she feels blessed to live here, as so many of us do.

Join us on the east side of town, from 9am – 1pm and mark your calendar for the next two Saturdays:
