The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), in partnership with Archuleta County, will reveal the DMV’s newest service innovation, ‘DMV2GO’, this Friday, August 12, at 11:30am in the parking lot adjacent to 449 San Juan St. in Pagosa Springs.
With DMV2GO, the DMV can set up pop-up and mobile driver license offices throughout the state, including rural areas where Coloradans might not have convenient access to DMV services. The program currently includes two SUVs and an RV which have everything needed to set up pop-up driver license offices virtually anywhere in the state.
Area residents are invited to the event, where the DMV will reveal the DMV2GO RV and the DMV2GO pop-up driver license offices.
“We are very excited about DMV2GO and how it will help us better serve Coloradans, especially rural residents.” DMV Communications Manager Derek Kuhn said. “DMV2GO is a gamechanger for customer service and we hope Archuleta County residents will come check out our mobile and pop-up driver license offices.”
Archuleta County Commissioner Warren Brown agreed and said he appreciates the DMV’s efforts.
“We are happy to partner with the DMV for this exciting announcement,” Brown said. “It’s not always convenient or easy for Archuleta County residents to drive to the nearest driver license office, but now with DMV2GO, residents have more of a choice in how they DMV.”
DMV2GO offers Coloradans the same services as a standard driver license office, except Driving Knowledge tests and endorsement exams. DMV2GO also offers access to online vehicle registration and driver record services as well.
Services include:
- First time: Colorado Driver License or ID card
- Out-of-State Transfers
- Renew: Driver License, Permit, Identification Card,
- Issue New: Driver License, Permit, Identification Card
- Motor Vehicle Records
- Reinstatements
- Colorado Roads and Community Safety Act services
It’s important to note that DMV2GO does not make house calls.
The DMV is committed to providing services for all Coloradans where they are needed most, whether it’s in-office, online or on the go. Visit DMV.Colorado.gov/Anywhere to find out how you can DMV anywhere.
