The Veterans Memorial Park is excited to announce that it is on schedule to begin construction for the Phase One Parking Lot project.
After an intense fundraising period with tremendous community support, the Veterans Memorial Park raised the funds necessary to commit to being able to secure local contractors for this current construction season and get on their schedules.
This is the opportunity for the VMP to advance construction on the remaining two-thirds of the parking lot. The images below depict where we are right now, and our future parking lot.
As a result, the Veterans Memorial Park will be closed to the public, beginning Monday, May 23, 2022. While this complete closure may be inconvenient, it is necessary for the contractor to receive materials, stage equipment and perform the planned construction in a safe workplace.
We still need to raise additional funds for the completion of the parking lot throughout the summer.
