‘ArtRoom Collective’ to Host Spring Exhibition and Market on Saturday

The ArtRoom Collective will present their Spring Exhibition & Market on Saturday, May 14, from 10 am to 5 pm at the Smiley Building. Creative art and services are available for sale throughout the day. The Smiley Café will be open serving with live music provided by Denise Leslie & Friends.

The ArtRoom Collective at The Smiley is a group of 22 artists located in the renovated auditorium space of the historic Smiley Building in Durango, Colorado. This collaborative art space welcomes visitors to experience a working art gallery and purchase art, jewelry, pottery, leather goods, furniture, clothing and other local Durango handmade goods.

Artist Heather Freeman of The Painted Playground will be in creative action with a painting demonstration at 11am… and Ray Martinez of Ray Martinez Photography will have his camera ready to click away showing his skills in portrait photography at 2pm. Both activities will take place in the ArtRoom at the Smiley Building.

Participating studios include in the bazaar include – but are not limited to – Sharon Abshagen Art, DKT Designs Fine Beaded Jewelry, World of Wild Things, Cindy Miller Atchison Design | Art, VZ Jewelry, Cartwheel Studio, Mullholand Family Art, Aunt Kit’s Knits and More, Ray Martinez Photography, Joe Schaefer Art, The Painted Playground, Spiced Red Studio, Quilted Glass Studio and Artsy Craftsy Studio.
