Join the Summer of Fun at Thingamajig Theatre

Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts and Thingamajig Theatre are abuzz with activity as preparations are under way for an exciting summer of entertainment and fun. The theatre stage is being transformed to accommodate the sets for three upcoming musicals: ‘Bright Star’, ‘Guys and Dolls’ and ‘The Spongebob Musical’.

Costumes are being designed, and coordination of our Whatchamawhozit and ThingamaWHO youth programs are coming together.

Season ticket packages and individual tickets are now available for purchase by visiting our website at pagosacenter.org. Season packages include discounted ticket prices to all three of our Broadway in the Mountain musicals as well as our kid’s camp production of ‘The Music Man Kids’.

Additional benefits of season tickets include attendance to our Champagne Openings to each show, a reserved seat option, free ticket exchanges and more.

Registration for Whatchamawhozit Kids Camp is open through our website. The camp is for 7 to 12-year-olds and will run weekdays from July 5 through July 15 from 9am to 2pm. The camp will conclude with performances of Meredith Wilson’s ‘The Music Man Kids’ on July 16 and July 17. Camp attendees will be mentored by members of our summer season cast, and directed by Laura Moore.

Auditions were recently conducted to select local teens to be part of the cast for ‘The Spongebob Musical’ alongside our professional actors. This unique opportunity is free and open to 13- to 18-year-olds.

For teens who would prefer to have a behind the scene experience in our theater, sign up to join our costuming crew by sending an email with your contact information to thingamajigbox@gmail.com.
