HMPRESENTLY: Be Thankful You’re Not Florida

Imagine what Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Ludwig Von Drake must be going through, with Florida’s state government threatening Walt Disney World!

I can hear Goofy saying ‘Goursh,’ what’s happening? He pronounces ‘gosh’ that way, doesn’t he?

In their soft, teeny voices, imagine Mickey and Minnie saying about the same.

Florida’s governor, who’s rumored to be interested in running for president in 2024 — Donald Trump permitting — wants to take some of Walt Disney World’s self-governance away.

That’s confusing, with a big state and a big company possibly going at it, over governance.

Coloradans should be thankful nothing similar is going on, in the Centennial State.

But that Sunshine state… banning books! A reminder of book burning, in another era? Goursh!

Life in Florida was so much simpler, decades ago, roasting in sunshine on warm, sandy beaches. Avoiding a painful sting from a Portuguese man o’ war.

Now, it’s Florida’s governor, perhaps, stinging things up.

Be thankful life isn’t nearly as crazy in Colorado, Pagosa Springs, and Archuleta County.

At least… I think life isn’t as crazy… isn’t that right?
