The annual Chamber of Commerce hanging basket program is just around the corner. This program welcomes the spring season and our community’s pride in beautifying our businesses and homes. This program is open to the public, not just Chamber members. Sales will open online only through the Chamber’s website on April 1. Interested purchasers can go to pagosachamber.com, scroll down to Community and Chamber News, and click on the link to order your flowers.
We will again offer the 12” baskets, planted specifically for our program and filled with a mix of flowers including geraniums, petunias, lobelia, pansies, vines and other colorful species. We will also offer the gorgeous 16” baskets made up primarily of calibrachoa and petunia flowers. These baskets are certainly show stoppers! However, they are also quite heavy, especially when watered, so if ordering, make sure that you are equipped with the right hanging brackets and location that can sustain the weight.
While not totally confirmed, for planning purposes, the 12” baskets will be available for pick-up from the Chamber on Friday afternoon, May 27. The 16” baskets may not come until after the Memorial Day holiday; however, we are still in the works for delivery of these baskets. We will let the purchasers know specific delivery dates as the time draws closer. We will help your flowers along by also providing some small bags of fertilizer.
The baskets will be available until sold out. This program has been a main-stay event at the Chamber for over 20 years! Visitors to our community love the way our businesses spruce up their places and these hanging flower baskets certainly contribute to the beautification process. Chamber Member Survey
The Chamber has released an important survey to our membership regarding strategic initiatives for 2022. In 2020, the Chamber conducted a survey of our membership to determine the 3 most important issues facing your business. Two years have passed since that survey and much economically has happened in our community. Are these concerns the same and does our business community feel we should be working on these issues?
