POEM: Moonlit World

(One day I happened by a candy store in Old Town, Albuquerque, where I was living, when a beautiful hippie girl strolled out and offered me a piece of white chocolate. It was sweet and sensuous, and I wanted more… much more…)

A poem for Jayebird on our anniversary.

When my woman walks she’s poetry in motion
Her bare feet kicking warm sand by the ocean
Her hips gently sway beneath the Milky-Way
Walking through our moonlit world

When my woman talks it’s a symphony
Like a nightingale’s song she sings to me
The sound of her sweet voice makes my heart rejoice
Talking in our moonlit world

When my woman laughs the world is right
Her laughter is like rain on the roof at night
And she smiles at me so lovingly
Laughing in our moonlit world

When we make love nothing else exists
Two solitary souls in the cosmic mist
A heavenly palace ’top Aurora Borealis
Loving in our moonlit world

When my woman weeps the whole world cries
Raindrops fall like tears from her eyes
And when our time is done, all that’s left is one
Weeping in our moonlit world
