The Colorado Department of Transportation will clean culverts next week on US Highway 160, approximately 10 miles west of Pagosa Springs near mile point 131. Brief periodic closures are required to allow crews to move heavy equipment across the highway at the work site and travelers should allow for extra travel time. The week-long maintenance operations will take place Monday through Friday (December 6-10), from 8:30am to 4pm.
Traffic Impacts
Drivers will encounter full stops. Flagging personnel will guide traffic through the work zone. Up to 15 minute delays are anticipated. A speed reduction of 40 MPH will be in place and drivers should slow down and use extreme caution when approaching and driving through the work zone. Motorists are urged to be aware of crews and heavy equipment.
