Louis, I know you’re trying to be funny, but this is serious. Why are you implying, in your columns, that you’re not vaccinated? I thought you were a Democrat? Influencers like you have to be careful what they say. People’s lives are at steak.

With concern,
Your friend Jerry

Hi Jerry. Thanks for the comments. Don’t know where you got the idea I was a Democrat. My sage-green Patagonia jacket?

I’ve been telling people I’m not vaccinated, because… I’m not vaccinated.

And you probably meant to say, “at stake.”

With equal concern,
Your friend Louis

That’s insane. I would never have pegged you as an anti-vaxxer. Please explain this crazy decision to me, because I think it’s stupid.

Don’t take this the wrong way, buddy, but you’re being just plain stupid. And selfish.

And yes, I did mean “at stake”. Very much “at stake”. Incredibly “at stake”.

Well, I may be stupid and selfish… but at least I’m not vaccinated.

Why am I not vaccinated? It’s pretty simple. I don’t trust the pharmaceutical industry or the FDA as far as I can throw them… individually, or all at once. I suspect I could probably throw Tony Fauci a couple of feet. He seems small enough, and lightweight. But the whole pharmaceutical industry? Wouldn’t be able to throw that gang of crooks very far.

So you’re a science denier? Because there is an awful lot of science behind these vaccines, pal.

Don’t you care about your fellow man? Or woman? Or gender-neutral person? I didn’t get the shot just to protect myself, you know. There’s a big world out there.

The anti-vaxxer crowd just strikes me as totally selfish.

Maybe you didn’t get the memo, Jerry. The vaccine wasn’t properly tested. As somebody once said, “Haste makes waste.”

When Pfizer started vaccinating people, they promised that it would protect you from getting infected. Remember? The vaccine was going the ‘stop the spread’.

Turns out, the vaccine doesn’t produce immunity. It appears to keep some people out of the hospital, which is a good thing… but it isn’t stopping the spread. Those pesky little virus germs march right past your multiple mRNA injections, and keep right on running, like tiny pink Energizer Bunnies.

Photo attached, for your amusement.

What else do we not know about this global experiment? Well, we don’t know what we don’t know. It would appear that some people — of whatever gender — don’t know that we don’t know what we don’t know, and they’re okay with that. In my humble opinion, we shouldn’t be firing people from their jobs, just because they know that some people don’t know that we don’t know what we don’t know.

See, that’s exactly what I’m talking about. You anti-vaxxers are just trying to create confusion. I’m proud to have gotten my booster shot, and I would happily get a booster every week, to get us past this whole thing. I’m doing my part, whether the vaccine works or not.

And just so you know — in case you didn’t know — I’m extremely sure the virus isn’t pink. According to The New York Times, it’s gray with red spikes.

So your attached supposedly-amusing photo is merely another annoying distraction.

Ah, yes. Annoying distractions.
