I’m proud that Colorado makes use of hand-marked paper ballots, and I support a national requirement for 100% hand-marked, hand-counted, verifiable elections. We don’t have that now, and some ballot marking devices are not verifiable. We all agree that we need to fix this.
However, every lawsuit brought about the 2020 election was thrown out, even by Trump-appointed judges. President Trump was allowed all appeals. Once those failed, he attempted to manipulate his followers to attack our legislative branch.
A police officer sustained fatal injuries; four other people died.
Convicting Donald Trump for this insurrection will allow other Republican leaders to emerge.
