Conservation Colorado Endorses Slate of Candidates Across the State

By Alexandra Eliot

Conservation Colorado, the largest statewide environmental advocacy organization in Colorado, has announced the first round of endorsements for nearly 40 candidates across the state seeking elected office for the state legislature or county commissions.

“Colorado voters know how important this upcoming election will be. That is why this year, Conservation Colorado is stepping out early to endorse a diverse, powerful list of candidates that will have our support throughout their campaigns. Our endorsed candidates will fight climate change, for more equitable communities, and to protect our lands and water, all of which have been decisive priorities for Coloradans in recent elections,” said Conservation Colorado CEO, Kelly Nordini. “Coloradans expect conservation leadership from their elected officials and consistently support continuing our progress on clean air and water and climate change and protecting our iconic landscapes.”

This list of 37 endorsements includes 7 candidates for state senate, 27 candidates for state house, and 3 candidates for county commission across the state following individual conversations with each candidate and a vote of Conservation Colorado’s Board of Directors.

Additional endorsements, including statewide constitutional offices and legislative and county commission races, will be announced as the Board votes on each candidate.
