Food Coalition to Host ‘Community Conversation’ This Thursday, Oct. 14

The FSFE – Food Coalition will be hosting an online Community Conversation this Thursday, October 14 from 2:00 – 3:00pm via Zoom:

…on the topic of author Mark Winne’s book, Closing the Food Gap, Resetting the Table in the Land of the Plenty. The virtual meeting on Thursday will introduce community members to author Mark Winne and will provide an overview of the book.

Community members are invited to contact the FSFE – Food Coalition to sign up to participate in the book club, which will be limited to the first 12 registrants. (Additional community members will be put on a waiting list for a future book club.)

Next Tuesday, October 19, from 6:00-7:00pm, the Coalition will host an in-person kick off of the book club. During the kick-off, registered participants can check out a copy of the book.

Subsequent sessions will be held, in person and on Zoom, each Tuesday from 6:00-7:00pm through November 16. The book club will culminate in a final discussion and book signing with the author on Tuesday, November 16.
