“SJBPH is proud to serve citizens in both Archuleta and La Plata counties. Serving on our Board of Health is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact and help shape the direction of public and environmental health services in Southwest Colorado. Our Board is essential to our success,” said Liane Jollon, SJBPH Executive Director.
SJBPH is a district public health organization established by a joint resolution between La Plata and Archuleta counties. The resolution also secured a seven-person Board of Health to oversee SJBPH, with one county commissioner from each county serving as an ex-officio voting member.
Over the course of an historic pandemic responding to COVID-19, and for decades prior, SJBPH has delivered on its mission to improve public and environmental health in Southwest Colorado. Maternal and child health programs, infectious disease control, health inspections, youth outreach, and water quality testing are just a few of the services provided by SJBPH.
