Wolf Creek Ski Area, the family-friendly ski mountain located atop Wolf Creek Pass between the towns of Pagosa Springs and South Fork, surprised many by becoming the first ski area in the US to open for the 2020-2021 season on October 28 with a base of about two feet of natural snow.
This past weekend, a new storm dropped about 16 inches, to provide a midway base of about 33 inches, and about 37 inches at the summit. The ski area added three more lifts and has now opened about 65% of the mountain.

The 2020-2021 ski season is now underway with 7-day a week operations. Nova, Bonanza, Treasure Stoke, Elma, Raven and Alberta lifts are operating from 9:00am to 4:00pm, giving access to 65% of the mountain. Lift tickets are currently at pre-season, Local Appreciation Rates. Prices are $58 for adults, $40 for seniors and $31 for children ages 6-12.

Wolf Creek Ski Area is excited to announce approval from the Silver Thread Health District for the Pre-Season COVID-19 Plan The plan includes the folowing elements:
At this time the only thing offered to participant are the lifts & restrooms! No other amenities will be offered such as the lodges, indoor dining, seaing areas, food service, ski school, rentals, etc. The pre-season plan will allow for access to the lifts only.
Colorado State Guideline require wearing face masks and social distancing in all indoor and outdoor public spaces. This includes buildings, in the base area, and while in the ticket and lift lines. Tickets will not be sold to any0ne without a mask or face covering. Any guests refusing to comply with the Colorado State Guidance will be asked to leave.
