In case you missed it, here are some additional bills introduced by the Senate Democrats last week aimed at tackling some of Colorado’s top priorities:
SB 009: Expand Adult Education Grant Program
Sen. Zenzinger
This bill expands the grant program for existing and new adult education programs. A better investment in Colorado’s adult education systems bolsters our economy and improves the workforce while supporting the families and communities who need it most.
SB 090: Limit Liability For Food Donations To Nonprofits
Sen. Winter
Good food shouldn’t go to waste while people in our communities go hungry. But right now, current law provides limited defense for nonprofits and other entities looking to donate food. This bill limits the liability of organizations and encourages wholesome food donations to those in need.
SB 091: Minimum Pay For State Military Forces
Sen. Zenzinger
Right now the minimum pay for our state’s service members on reserve is just $20 a day. This bill enhances benefits by updating the minimum pay for our state’s military forces.
SB 107: Drug Production Costs Transparency Analysis Report
Sen. Ginal
Prescription drug pricing is through the roof, and our state needs action. This bill analyzes data on prescription drugs to promote transparency and understand how to best serve the needs of Coloradans.
