As ballots begin making their way to mailboxes across Colorado ahead of the November 2026 election, the Colorado County Clerks Association (CCCA) has launched a new online resource to help Coloradans better understand how elections work and where to turn with questions about voting.
The new website provides a centralized location for clear, accessible, and nonpartisan information about the history of elections in Colorado, how the state’s election system has evolved, and how elections are administered today. Visitors can explore the safeguards that protect election integrity and the important role county clerks play in administering elections statewide.
With Election Day approaching, CCCA wants Coloradans to know that their county clerks are a trusted resource for questions about their ballots, how to track a ballot, how to check voter registration status, and where to find accurate election information.
Through the new resource, Coloradans can find information to help them:
Check voter registration: Find information on how to verify their voter registration status and ensure their information is up to date.
Track their ballot: Learn where to access ballot tracking tools and information about the status of their mailed ballot.
Get answers to voting questions: Find trusted information about ballots, voting procedures, and Colorado’s election processes.
Understand election security: Learn about the safeguards and procedures that help ensure secure, accurate, and transparent elections.
Explore Colorado’s election history: Learn how voting in Colorado has changed over time and how that history has shaped the election system voters use today.
Connect with their county clerk: Find their local county clerk’s office for questions and assistance specific to their community.
“As ballots begin arriving in mailboxes, we want every Coloradan to know where they can turn with questions about their ballot or the voting process. County clerks are here to help, whether you’re checking your registration, tracking your ballot, or looking to better understand how elections work. This new resource makes it easier to find the information you need and connect with your local election officials.” Matt Crane, Executive Director of CCCA.
Beyond the upcoming election, the website will serve as an ongoing educational resource for voters, members of the Colorado General Assembly, nonprofit organizations, and community partners. By bringing together historical context and information about current election practices, it will help Coloradans understand both how their elections work and how the state arrived at its current system.
By making election information more accessible, CCCA aims to strengthen public understanding, encourage informed participation, and help Coloradans feel confident in the processes that support their elections.
