What are the big questions that are currently shaping your life?
How do you know when a question is inviting a chance for deeper learning and connection?
What have you learned from others to help you live with mystery and openness?
What helps you feel curious about new things?
If these questions pique a curiosity in you, consider joining in the Going Deeper Sharing Circle, Sunday, October 11, at Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (PUUF). This month’s theme of living the questions invites us to go a bit deeper, allowing space for new questions that may arise within the group. The model for these circles is similar to group spiritual direction, which has been used in many faith traditions throughout the centuries, and help create a safe space to deepening one’s own life journey and spiritual growth.
This small group meets the second Sunday of each month, and all of the Sunday morning programs begin at 10:30am. We gather to reflect and share, practicing deep listening to build beloved community.
As a starting point for this grounding work, we will use the following words by Shelley Denham.
We Laugh, We Cry – Singing the Living Tradition Hymnal.
We seek elusive answers to the questions of this life.
We seek to put an end to all the waste of human strife.
We search for truth, equality, and blessed peace of mind.
And then, we come together here, to make sense of what we find.
And we believe in life, and in the strength of love,
and we have found a joy being together.
And in our search for peace, maybe we’ll finally see: even to question, truly is an answer.
More information can be found at our website, PagosaUU.org, about upcoming services and programs. We offer space for on-going programs and events at the UU Community Hub, such as the Tara Meditation Group held Sundays, 5:30-6:30pm and Qigong practice on Monday afternoons at 1pm. The Wise & Wakeful Circle, hosted by Elaine Harding and Sam Johnson, meets the second and fourth Saturdays, 10:00am.
The Pagosa UU Fellowship is located in the Greenbriar Plaza, Unit B-15, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd. on the north side facing the Pagosa Peak. We celebrate diversity and foster a spiritual home for open minds, loving hearts and helping hands. All are welcome.
