Jeff Hurd thinks we’re stupid. He sold Coloradans out by voting to gut our healthcare to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. But the healthcare cuts were cleverly set up to go into effect after the November election. Hurd thinks we’re too dumb to remember. If Hurd is reelected, we will all lose a lot.
Because Hurd voted to cut our benefits, 377,000 Coloradans will likely lose Medicaid coverage, and nearly 300,000 could lose SNAP (food stamp) coverage.
Hurd literally took away our healthcare. The “Big Beautiful Bill” passed the House by 1 vote. Hurd could have stopped it, but he chose billionaires over his own constituents.
Because of Hurd, 6 rural hospitals in Colorado now face closure. The cuts to Medicaid do not only affect those who are receiving Medicaid, but everyone in the 6 counties who may lose their hospitals because of the cuts.
Dwayne Romero is running against Hurd. He has pledged to reverse cuts to Medicaid and SNAP. It’s time we had someone in the House who is working for us, not for the elite billionaires.
