HEALTHY ARCHULETA: Another Successful Food Drive

A recent community food drive organized to benefit the Archuleta Food Pantry Network demonstrated the generosity and community spirit that define Archuleta County. Through the collective efforts of local residents, volunteers, and community partners, 1,032 food items were collected to help support food assistance efforts across the community.

The donations come at a time when many households continue to face rising food and living costs. The Archuleta Food Pantry Network, which includes seven community food pantries working together to improve food access, helps ensure that local families, seniors, and individuals can access nutritious food when they need it most.

Community food drives provide valuable supplemental support to these ongoing efforts.

A highlight of this year’s drive was the involvement of Healthy Archuleta’s youth interns, who dedicated their time to collecting and organizing donations. Their participation reflects the important role young people play in strengthening community connections while developing leadership and service skills that benefit both themselves and the broader community.

Healthy Archuleta extends its appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the food drive. Every donation represents neighbors supporting neighbors and helping build a healthier, more resilient, and more food-secure Archuleta County.
