‘Phenomenomaly’ Returns to Meow Wolf Denver June 5 Through August 9

By Erin Barnes

The Flickerwerms are back, and so is Phenomenomaly, Meow Wolf’s live performance spectacle layered inside an already-immersive exhibition. After debuting at Convergence Station last summer as part of Meow Wolf’s two-city inaugural run, Phenomenomaly returns to Denver from June 5 through August 9, 2026, with a refreshed story, new mysteries to uncover, and 85+ rooms of interactive art transformed once again into a living, breathing stage. Every Wednesday – Sunday from 2-7pm, Phenomenomaly performances unfold at no additional cost; admission is included with any Meow Wolf ticket or Portal Pass.

The return of Phenomenomaly comes as Meow Wolf is named a TIME100 Companies Industry Leader in Travel & Tourism, recognizing the company’s growing influence in immersive entertainment.

Phenomenomaly is part immersive theater, part art party, part glow worm migration (naturally). zLive theater, dance, puppetry, and roaming character work unfold on a continuous loop throughout Convergence Station’s four alien worlds, with each approximately 90-minute performance reshaping itself to the distinct weirdness of the space. No two shows are ever the same.

Here is the gist: a group of interplanetary tourists known as the Lil’ Bigg Miss Fitts (Domino, Plotzini, Wavelynn, George, and Lintley Foldsworth) move through Convergence Station as if they are guests themselves, before revealing their mission: to help trigger the rare Flickerwerm migration. Alongside the Keepers, a masked, nudibranch-inspired order, they recruit guests to locate objects and complete small actions, turning the experience into a collaborative, roaming quest. It builds to a large-scale finale as towering Flickerwerm puppets emerge and lead a procession through the exhibition, inviting guests to join.

Denver audiences helped launch Phenomenomaly in 2025, and for 2026 the experience returns with a Denver-led local creative team: local show director James Brunt and choreographer Bailey Harper. Returning national collaborators include costume designers Basqo Bim, Iggy & Andy, Kate Major, and Monsters of the Underworld, with Sam Johnson of Colossal Collective as Puppet Project Manager, Designer, and Fabricator.

Each week, a rotating local guest artist or group takes center stage alongside the core company, spanning Afro-futurist dance, brass fanfare, aerial arts, swing, world fusion, and more. All performances are great for all ages, and require no special ticket – they’re included in general admission.

Theconfirmed 2026 Denver lineup includes:

June 5-7: Love Art City (Afro-futurist movement house)
June 10-14: Guerrilla Fanfare (Colorado brass ensemble)
June 17-21: Pyroglyphics (multidisciplinary performance collective)
June 24-28: Bella Diva World Dance (award-winning world dance company)
July 1-5: Bryan Connely and Buba Basishvili
July 8-12: The SkyeLark Sisters (swing dance duo)
July 15-19: Denver Dance (hip hop, aerial, and tap)
July 22-26: Ana Luna (French-Colombian violinist, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist)
August 5-9: Emerald Zombie

Limited-time Phenomenomaly specialty cocktails and special-edition merch will be available at Meow Wolf Denver while the migration is in town.
